This FileLu Service Agreement (the 'Agreement') describes the terms and conditions on which FileLu ('we,' 'us') provides services to you ('User') through our website, including https://filelu.com and https://file.lu, including subdomains and related sites ('Website'), our mobile apps ('mobile apps'), our FileLuSync desktop app ('desktop app'), our Linux terminal CLI script, and our application programming interface ('API'). It is essential that you read this Terms of Service in its entirety. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to be bound by its terms. By using our services, you also agree to FileLu's Privacy & Cookie Policy and the following terms:

Data Deletion Policy

We respect your right to privacy and understand that you may wish to delete your data from our servers at any time. Upon receiving a request for data deletion, we will promptly remove all personal data associated with your account, including any files, metadata, and other information that can be used to identify you. Please note that we may need to retain some data for legal compliance purposes, such as transactional data or billing information, as required by relevant laws. We may also retain data to protect our interests in case of legal disputes. However, we will only retain such data for as long as necessary and will have policies in place to securely delete it when it is no longer required. By using our services, you agree to the terms of this Data Deletion Policy and understand that we may need to retain certain data for legal compliance purposes.

Referral Program

Our platform offers a referral program that allows users to earn additional storage space by referring friends and new users to our service. To ensure the integrity of the program, referred users must create an account with a valid username, password, and verify their email address. Only referrals who have completed the registration process with a verified email address, username, and password will be considered valid. Any referrals that do not meet these requirements will not be eligible for the referral program rewards. We encourage users to refer individuals who are genuinely interested in our services and willing to participate in the platform as active members. Creating multiple accounts for the sole purpose of increasing referral rewards is strictly prohibited and may result in the cancellation of the referral program for the involved user(s) and account consequences as outlined in our terms of service. Please note that we reserve the right to review and validate referrals to ensure compliance with these requirements. We aim to maintain a fair and transparent referral program that rewards genuine user participation.


The FileLu.com logo, the word "FileLu" or "FILELU" and the slogan contained on the Site (or made available via the Service) are trademarks of FileLu, LLC and its suppliers or licensors, and may not be copied, imitated, or used, in whole or in part, without the prior written permission of FileLu.com or the applicable trademark holder. You may not use any metatags or any other "hidden text" utilizing "Filelu.com" or any other name, trademark or product, or service name of FileLu.com without our prior written permission. In addition, the look and feel of the Site and the Service, including all page headers, custom graphics, button icons, and scripts, is the service mark, trademark, and/or trade dress of FileLu.com and may not be copied, imitated or used, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission. All other trademarks, registered trademarks, product names and company names or logos mentioned on the Site (or made available via the Service) are the property of their respective owners. Reference to any products, services, processes, or other information, by trade name, trademark, manufacturer, supplier, or otherwise does not constitute or imply endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation thereof by us.

Cancel Anytime

You may cancel your subscription to FileLu Premium at any point prior to your next billing period, no questions asked "Cancel anytime" means you can turn off the auto-renewal for your subscription whenever you'd like, and if you do so at least 48 hours prior to your renewal date, you will not be charged for subsequent billing periods after that. If you do not cancel at least 48 hours prior to your renewal date, your subscription will be automatically renewed and we will charge your account using the payment method on file for you.

Recurring Paid Subscriptions

Recurring subscriptions will renew indefinitely, either monthly (every 30 days) or annually (every 365 days), based upon your chosen subscription period, unless the subscription is canceled prior to the renewal date. For recurring subscriptions established via mobile apps using in-app-purchase platforms, you should refer to your app store account for details of the dates and terms of the subscription. Any other recurring subscription will renew on the same day of the month as it was established, except in cases where the day is not available due to a short month, in which case the renewal date will be moved to the first day or second day of the following month. We have the right to change our Premium plan prices at any time, all the new orders will apply to the new prices. If you purchase a Premium plan before the price changes, your subscription will auto-renewal with the old price until you cancel or update your Premium plan.

For the Free plan and Unregistered plan state that we reserve the right to make changes to the plan at any time and without prior notice. This includes, but is not limited to, changes to the features, functionality, and limitations of the plan. By using the Free plan, you agree to these terms and understand that any changes made may impact your use of the service.

One-Time Payment Plan (Lifetime Plan):

Our "One-Time Payment Plan" is available for purchase and is valid for 99 years from the date of purchase, as long as our business continues to operate. We have defined a Lifetime account as 99 years or the lifetime of the account holder, whichever is shorter. However, please be aware that this plan is non-transferable and cannot be resold. It is intended for the exclusive use of the individual who purchases it and cannot be passed on to the next generation or any other party. Please note that after the 99-year period, the Lifetime Plan will expire, and access to its benefits will cease. If you wish to continue using our services beyond this period, you must repurchase a suitable plan or subscription. If you decide to purchase a new plan or subscription during the 99-year period, all old plans, including the Lifetime Plan, will be voided, and the terms of the new plan or subscription will apply.

Refund policy

  • FileLu may approve a fifteen (15) day money-back guarantee. After purchasing the service within 15 days if you are not happy you can ask for a refund. 15 DAYS REFUND REQUESTS should be submitted to FileLu by email to [email protected].
  • Cancellation. You may cancel your FileLu Premium at any time. Refunds are only issued if required by law.

    Though FileLu has applied strict rules and regulations to regulate all the file-sharing behavior and continuously and vigilantly monitors the types of files upload to its servers, FileLu is not responsible for the content of any upload files, nor is it in affiliation with any entities that may be represented in the upload are upload by users. FileLu will attach importance to your abuse, copyright reports, and will take appropriate action within 12 hours!

    We don't give you any warranty or undertaking about the services or the website which are provided "as is". to avoid doubt, all implied conditions or warranties are excluded as much as is permitted by law, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose, safety, reliability, durability, title, and non-infringement.

    FileLu is not liable for your images, videos, docs, apps, or any files type or any lost business or personal loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of use due to the unavailability or loss of the website. We make no claims of future reliability in serving, hosting, or storing your files.

    Disclaimer of Liability: The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. FileLu makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the Service or the information, content, materials, or products included on the Service. FileLu will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.

    Limitation of Liability: In no event shall FileLu be liable for any lost profits or business interruption, or any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the Service.

    Miscellaneous Legal

    The Agreement, and any rights and licenses granted hereunder, may not be transferred or assigned by you, but may be assigned by FileLu without restriction.

    Penetration Testing

    Prior to conducting any penetration testing on FileLu systems, users must obtain explicit permission from FileLu. Requests for such testing should be directed to [email protected]. Unauthorized penetration testing may result in legal action.

    Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold FileLu and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

    Changes to Terms of Service: We will not modify this term of service arbitrarily. However, because the ways in which the internet is used, and abused, evolve over time, we reserve the right to modify it anytime. If we do, we will post the notification on our home page. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

    The Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without reference to principles of choice of law. You and FileLu each irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of the federal or state courts located in Orange County, Florida ("Courts") with respect to any action, suit or proceeding arising out of or related to the Agreement or to the Services and /or Content and waive any objection to venue in any of the Courts for such an action, suit or proceeding; additionally, you agree that you will not bring any such action, suit or proceeding in any court other than the Courts.

    These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by FileLu on the Services, the Agreement, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersedes all previous written or oral agreements between the parties with respect to such subject matter. If any inconsistency exists between the terms of the Agreement and any additional terms and conditions posted on the Services, such terms shall be interpreted as to eliminate any inconsistency, if possible, and otherwise, the additional terms and conditions shall control. If any provision of the Agreement is held invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect, (i) such provision shall be interpreted in such a manner as to preserve, to the maximum extent possible, the intent of the parties, (ii) the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby, and (iii) such decision shall not affect the validity, legality or enforceability of such provision under other circumstances.

    No failure in delay in exercising or enforcing this policy shall constitute a waiver of the Agreement or any other right or remedy. If any provision of the Agreement is deemed unenforceable due to law or change in law, such a provision shall be disregarded and the balance of the Agreement shall remain in effect.


    All disagreements will be heard in Orange County, Florida, USA within one year.

In today's world, technology based on some non-personal information that almost always gets created and recorded in an automated way often helps websites to analyze their users' behavior and trends, improve user experience as well as administer the website. When you use our products, we collect such information. The information and ways we may use to collect it described bellow:

When you use FileLu, our servers automatically record information about your interaction with our products, including information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website or your mobile app sends when you use it to access .     How Do We Use Personally Identifiable Information (PII)? We use the PII we request at registration in order to provide you with the services offered on the Site, including image hosting and sharing. Such information maybe be displayed to other users in your User Profile. The User Profile is where you may choose to tell other FileLu users about yourself. You may control what personal information is displayed in your User Profile by visiting the Profile Settings section of your User Profile. Much like other online social networks, FileLu allows non-followers to browse your profile and images if you chose to set your privacy setting to Public.

    All information provided by you to FileLu is strictly confidential and we will almost never release any personal information about you without your permission. However, FileLu reserves the right to release your information if you have violated the FileLu Terms of Service, or if the information is subpoenaed, in order to protect safety of FileLu or Site users.

    Do We Use Analytics Companies? We may provide some non-personal information to others who help us understand how you use the Site.

    Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.

However, we may disclose your personal information or any of its log file information when we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with a law, regulation or compulsory legal request; (b) co-operate with the investigations of purported unlawful activities; (c) identify persons who may be violating the law or legal notice; (d) protect and defend the rights or property of FileLu or third parties; (e) protect the safety of an individual or group; (f) prevent fraud or abuse of FileLu or its users.     The security of your information is important to us. FileLu employs measures to protect information collected from loss, destruction, disclosure, unauthorized access, misuse and alteration. Although we strive to protect your personal information, FileLu cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.     International Information Transfers

    FileLu is a United States company and our main data center is located in the United States, where all master data is stored. To facilitate our global operations and provide services to you, we may transfer and store your account information in locations outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction, as requested by you, and for the purposes described in this policy. Depending on your location, we store your uploaded files at the nearest data centers to ensure quick access. These files may be automatically transferred between data centers located in the United States, Germany, and Finland.

    FileLu transfers personal data only in a secure and lawful way. We always do our best to protect your personal data and once we have received it; we use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access. FileLu utilizes industry-standard technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to help protect the information on our servers against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your own passwords. If you have reason to believe that your password or personal data is no longer secure, please promptly contact us.

    Your personal information may be transmitted to a third party who may have their servers in a different country, for purposes such as processing transactions, to facilitate payments, and provide support services.     We collect the minimum necessary amount of information. We don’t buy or sell lists of information. We don’t unnecessarily share your personal information.

    What we collect, how we use the information, how others may obtain your personal information and how you can limit personal information collection is detailed in our Privacy Policy. Some basic info, like IP address which establishes geolocation, is collected automatically so we can provide the services you expect from FileLu. And, some info you voluntarily give us, like when you sign up for an account. How long we keep your data on FileLu is detailed in our Data Retention Policy. You can delete the account you created at any time.

    By virtue of your use of the internet, your purchases, your actions, you create a need for us to share various aspects of your data to necessary third parties in order to provide the services you request and to comply with the law.

    If you don’t restrict ads or purchase an ad-free account, you allow advertisers to collect your IP address which they use to identify where you are in the world so they can show appropriate ads. If you Opt-out , we will put a cookie on your computer to prevent passing your information to advertisers. If you clear your cookies, you should Opt-out again.

    FileLu also uses information to satisfy applicable laws or regulations, and discloses information in response to legal process or enforceable government requests, including to law enforcement.

    Your Privacy Rights

    If you are a resident of California, under the CCPA, you have the following rights:

    Right to Know: Up to twice every 12 months, you have the right to request that we disclose to you the personal information we collect, use, or disclose, and information about our data practices.

    Right to Request Deletion and Opt-out of sharing: You have the right to request that we delete your Personal Information that we have collected from you.

    Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

    Revoke Consent. In order to access your account and files, FileLu must have information about you in order to identify you. Revoking consent to collection and retention of your personal data effectively closes your account with FileLu. To delete your account and all your data go to My Account and click on the Delete my account button.

    Changing Our Policy. This Privacy Policy is subject to change. We will prominently post a notice on the Site when there are material changes in the way we treat PII. You should periodically check back and review this Privacy Policy so that you always will know what information we collect, how we use it, and with whom we share it.
