FileLu MCP is now available, giving users a secure way to connect FileLu cloud storage with ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Codex, and other MCP-compatible AI tools.
With FileLu MCP, AI assistants can help you search files, browse folders, view file details, create folders, create text files, queue URL uploads, and generate direct download links based on the permissions you approve.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It allows AI apps to connect with external tools and services in a structured way. For FileLu users, this means your cloud storage can work directly with AI assistants while you stay in control.
What you can do with FileLu MCP:
Search and browse FileLu files and folders
View file information and recent uploads
Create folders and text files
Queue remote URL uploads
Generate direct download links
Create share links when sharing permission is enabled
FileLu MCP supports ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Codex, MCP Inspector, and other MCP-compatible clients. ChatGPT and Claude can connect using OAuth, while developer tools like Cursor and Codex can connect using MCP tokens.
Security is built into the connection. You can create separate MCP tokens, choose read-only access, allow downloads, enable write actions, permit sharing, or restrict access to a specific folder. We recommend starting with read-only access and enabling additional permissions only when needed.

To get started, go to My Account > Upload & Connect > MCP / ChatGPT, generate a token, choose your permissions, and connect FileLu to your preferred AI app.
